Hello!
Yes, it’s been quite awhile and I figure I owe no one an explanation. Just had a few things put in perspective for me recently and realized I probably shouldn’t waste a gift when it’s given to me…
That being said, I’m back!
Back from where? The lessons of failure I would call it. Tried and failed MLMs mostly. Sure, I’ve made a little money, but nothing to mount on the trophy wall. I keep asking myself, “how do I succeed in network marketing?” and a newly made friend of mine kindly and enthusiastically pointed it out. Nothing I’m a stranger to… this, this here, what you are reading… is what I do. I write. Ask anyone. Some will tell you I am an impeccable speaker as well, though… I rarely stand up and give speeches.
So what should my first blog of re-invention be on the Empower Network?
I don’t know, this is free writing…let’s see where it takes us. I’m real thankful for the new friends I’ve made first off. I’d go on and list them all, but maybe another time.
I’m also thankful for computers and keyboards. I used to write so much with a pen and paper that I had a permanent ink stain on my pinky and wrist!
I’m thankful for my family.
I’m thankful for the knowledge I’ve gained and hope to pass on. That is true wisdom, the ability to not only retain knowledge, but apply it and teach it to others.
Just thankful for my life in general. There are sooooo many less fortunate people out there and I will help as many as I can through whatever means I am able. This, being one of them.
The question I asked myself.
“How do I succeed in network marketing?” I’ve searched for a cure all and easy button, and quite frankly, it doesn’t exist. To truly succeed in network marketing, I feel there are a list of components you must have.
Commitment. You have to be committed to yourself. You are the only one that can truly make anything happen, the creator of your destiny. You also have to be committed to your team to succeed in network marketing. I’ve gotten the ‘here it is, do what you want, I won’t answer your call’ treatment all too often. You have to be available and understand that even though it’s network marketing, it’s still business. Business may derive from a product or service, but it is stagnant without the people behind, beside, and in front of it.
Friends. These are people that are NOT in your business but you just talk to about whatever. A good friend is like a loyal dog, regardless how far it runs away, it will always come back and listen to what you have to say.
Mentors. These are people that have and do know how to succeed in network marketing or any business for that matter. You need to have a teacher or several-don’t be afraid to keep an open ear-that you can ask questions and bounce ideas off of.
An open mind. I’ve had gosh, at least a handful of ‘mentors’ preach this time and time again. They love it when you follow them, but if they didn’t introduce it to you… they won’t budge. Sad really, especially since you’re supposed be teammates and friends that support each other in your ventures. You never know when you’ll be in that garage with the next Bill Gates.
I’m sure there are other things I can mention that would apply to answering the question of how to succeed in network marketing, but those are the basics I have come to understand that when taken to heart, breed success.
What do I do? As for companies? Several…maybe I’ll list them sometime. It is getting late and my tired eyes and I will bid you adieu. Until next time….
